WELCOME TO TOOHEYS NEW

x

Australia's biggest work ute

As with most great ideas, the concept to create Australia's biggest ute was hatched by the Tooheys New Crew over a cold Tooheys New.

After months of searching we found a 1992 Denning Landseer double decker and at the end of 2011 the modifications began. By early 2012 Australia's Biggest work ute was completed, filled with tools and on the road with the Tooheys New Crew. Along with the usual features such as tool boxes and ladder racks, the Ute also has 6 seats, 4 beds, shower and toilet.

We're probably on the way to a project right now so if you see the Tooheys New Crew Ute give us a wave!

Paul Harragon

An all-round great bloke, rugby league legend and the front man for the Tooheys New Crew.

While not great on the tools, The Chief has thousands of stories from his 10 years playing with the Knights, NSW and Australia.

He also the first to shout a round of cold Tooheys New at the end of a long day on a project.

Peter Morrison

Pete has been a chippy since 1998 and cut his teeth working with almost every renovation program on television.

When he's not on the road with the Tooheys New Crew or leading treks on the Kokoda trail, he's promoting and competing in boxing bouts in Sydney and raising money for local charities.

Owen Gardener

With 15 years‚ experience under his tool belt Owen is our licensed builder on every
Tooheys New Crew project.

Outside of The Crew, he runs a successful building business in Sydney and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of builders in the form of 3 full time apprentices.

Derrick Hoe

Heralding from Parkes, Hoey is the bushy of the
Tooheys New Crew and can drive anything from buses to bulldozers.

On site he manages all volunteers, safety and bad joke telling, which he excels at. While he shares his name with a famous Hawaiian surfer, Derrick is often mistaken for George Foreman.

Paul Gillespie

Paul is the most experienced member of the Crew and the Project manager for all
Tooheys New Crew projects.

Gilly manages the project all the way from the community submission to the completed project.

He also conveniently loves Tooheys New.

Testimonial

"Nothing was a problem, their time and effort was directed to the community of Robertson despite unbelievable conditions... I have never seen anything generate so much passion and community spirit than we witnessed last week with the visit in the Tooheys New Crew."

- Ray Chambers
(Secretary) /
The Robertson
Showground Trust

Tips

Give us enough detail to help us understand exactly how we can help out.

For example, rather than just saying 'Improve our surf club', you might say 'Replace the leaking ceiling in our surf club and install a kitchen so we can host community functions.'

Thank you for asking the Tooheys New Crew to help out your community.

We’ve had a huge response and some amazing submissions. If we’ve got any questions we’ll be in contact shortly. Cheers!

A letter to Lion Nathan

“ Dear Tooheys New Crew,

On behalf of the Seventy Three members of the Kiama – Jamberoo Returned Services League of Australia we would like to sincerely thank the entire Tooheys New Crew for the incredible feat they achieved at our community hall in Jamberoo during April, 2012. The makeover is fantastic and we have received a great deal of positive feedback from all walks of humanity.

Special mention should go to Peter Morrison, Paul Gillespie and Derek Howe. The trio did a wonderful job and managed to fuse camaraderie between total strangers. A task not simply achieved. The generosity of Lion Nathan is very much appreciated by the RSL sub-Branch members and the entire community of Jamberoo. What was achieved in three days would have taken us Twenty years to complete.

Once again, thank you so much. ”

- Dennis Seage (Hon. Secretary),

Tooheys Old

First brewed in 1869, Tooheys Old Black Ale, now known simply as Tooheys Old, is the only brew from our colonial era that is still known and loved today. Tooheys Old was a lighter more refreshing Australian alternative to the heavy warm English Ales of the time. Its lightly hopped, malty character delivers the perfect balance of bitter and sweet beer flavours. Imagine sitting in your own home, enjoying draught beer, direct from your fridge. Sounds absurd, doesn't it? A pipe-dream. The brewing equivalent of a hoverboard. Certainly, you didn't think that kind of breakthrough would happen in your lifetime. It was something that perhaps your great-great-great-grandchildren might get to enjoy or great-great-grandchildren if they were lucky. But never you. Until now. A new kind of in-home beer system is now here, delivering icy cold beer straight into your chalice - or whatever canister you choose.
